The structure of the contemporary dance class respects some basic rules such as:
- Warming up, activation of the body
- Emphasis on floor work
- Sequences will be taught to work on weight transfers, strength of the supporting leg, strength of the working foot, work on the trunk
The class will begin with more static positions to really put the emphasis on different technical elements, then movements will grow and we will develop imbalance exercices, how to take and move into the space, work with the rhythm and develop our capacities of interpretations.
Each class will end with the teaching of a specific variation and an improvisation session.
